Past Continuous Tense in Hindi
Defination:
Past Continuous Tense वह काल होता है जिसमें कोई कार्य भूतकाल में किसी निश्चित समय पर जारी था। इसमें मुख्य रूप से क्रिया was/were + verb की ing form के साथ प्रयुक्त होती है।
Structure of Past Continuous Tense:
सकारात्मक वाक्य (Affirmative Sentence):
Subject + was/were + verb की ing form + object
Examples:- वह खेल रहा था। → He was playing.
- हम पढ़ाई कर रहे थे। → We were studying.
नकारात्मक वाक्य (Negative Sentence):
Subject + was/were + not + verb की ing form + object
Examples:- वह सो नहीं रहा था। → He was not sleeping.
- वे बाहर नहीं खेल रहे थे। → They were not playing outside.
प्रश्नवाचक वाक्य (Interrogative Sentence):
Was/Were + subject + verb की ing form + object + ?
Examples:- क्या वह नाच रहा था? → Was he dancing?
- क्या वे पढ़ रहे थे? → Were they reading?
